Project

The Project

3. What do you think worked successfully in this project?

We were able to exchange ideas and views from different backgrounds. The comments made by the student interviewing me was very valuable ( i don't think i could have done this anywhere else), at the same time- i was able to show her what i have learned through 4 years of Parsons. Overall, it was a great learning experience for me and hopefully, my partner.

4. What would you suggest to improve the project next year?

i liked that i talked to Hannah over MSN messanger; because when i met her in person, it felt like i already knew her. Maybe next year, students can communicate more adequately that way.

Learning

thank you - everyone involved in the Parsons/Epsom project :)

Learning
1. Do you feel you learned more about London as a fashion capital? If so, what? (Were any of your preconceptions reinforced? Were there any surprises?)

Yes. i learned that there is more freedom in terms of art in London. there is a certain creativity to design when there are no bounderies. I thought that London would be full of more classics- like Burberry.

2. What do you feel you learned/gained from participating on this project?

I learned that there are differences in perception as well as what good design means to each person. i enjoyed being interviewed by someone who grew up from a completely different place. The comments she made about my garments were inspiring.
